Newport Beach, CA, September 1st, 2015 –Meritage Partners is pleased to announce the sale of VA Consulting, Inc. (“VA”). Founded in 1973, VA is a 60-person community development, transportation, and water engineering firm serving clients throughout Southern California’s Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Inland Empire regions, as well as the greater Phoenix area.
VA was acquired by Stantec, Inc. (NYSE: STN; TSX: STN) a publicly traded international design and consulting firm based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Company has over 15,000 employees working in over 250 locations.
Meritage Partners was engaged to position VA for acquisition, identify and qualify strategic buyers, and act as an acquisition consultant. The transaction closed on August 28th, 2015; terms were not disclosed.
